Between Red & Green is an accordion book with bespoke poem by Whiting award winning poet LB Thompson. The poem, written expressly for these paintings, is loosely based on a verse form called the pantoum. Merging this kind of syncopated ‘walking lyric’ with the physical architecture of a flexible accordion invites multiple readings of the sounds, relative locations and emotional implications that move through image, character and hue. This signed edition of only 20 copies was bound in French blue silk with a vermillion spine by Judith Ivry. The long single page was printed by Rob Reiter.
